With Spring in full swing right now we will hopefully soon get rid of all these April showers and see many more flowers. While Spring gives a glimmer of hope for those sunny summer days there's still a bit of gloomy weather and cold mornings here and there. However I'm taking what I can get! Staying positive, sticking to my routine, embracing the rainy days, treating myself to some spring clothes and looking forward to what's to come in summer!

Personally for me in the later winter months I really start to get down. I don't want to up early because it's cold, I don't want to eat as healthy because I don't really care, my confidence is not there, and it just starts to get old and really unmotivating. Thankfully though here in COMO it has finally started to warm up consistently!! Already I have felt better about walking up early in the morning to work out because it's not freezing on my walk to the gym. My confidence is better because I'm making more of a priority to care of myself physically and mentally on a daily. I feel really proud of myself to be able to get myself back up when I down low, pull myself out of my rut and get motivated and excited for spring/summer.

With that being said it's not easy and finding a routine or things that make you feel your best can take a while to figure out. While I can only recommended things that have worked for me it's important you do what's also best for you. Here are some tips and things ! have added in my spring routine in my everyday day.

1. Waking Up Early and Working Out

Now I know that when you hear this you may roll your eyes but this doesn't need to be a big workout where you lift heavy weights for an hour, no. This can simply be walking up a good amount of time before class or work and talking a nice thirty minute walk to get some sun shine and get your body moving. This has helped me so much in so many ways lately because when I feel sun on my skin in the morning I immediately feel better and more energized for my day. It makes me feel good knowing I started my day taking care of myself and have that extra time in the morning is good time to enjoy the quiet before you start your busy day.

2. Having a Cute Outfit

As silly and as small as this may sound having a good outfit sets your mood for your day. I like to set out my outfit the night before just to save time in morning and so I'm not stressed. But having a good outfit to put on in the morning get me excited and motivated to get up, get ready and tackle my day. Because when you look good you feel good!

3. Cleaning Out my Closet

If you have not worn in over a year its time to say goodbye. Spring is about getting rid of the old and adding in some new. We can start off the summer or spring with a refreshed clean household that is out with all the clutter. Since I have been getting rid of all my things I don't use anymore I have felt so much more organized. This also gives me some room in my closet to add some new things in!! Shopping trip up next!

4. Fresh Flowers

Having fresh flowers in my room changes up the whole vibe. It looks pretty, smells good and makes me happy which is really all that matters. This doesn't need to be expensive either. Just picking up a small bouquet at your local grocery store and adding them to a vase makes such a different. Here's also a link on how make your flowers last even longer.

5. Farmer's Market's

Farmers markets are a must in the spring and summer months. Now I know not all produce is at it's peak right now but a good Saturday farmers market to get bread and coffee is really all you need right?

6. Friday Morning Coffee

Since it's been nicer out in the morning walking to a coffee shop on Friday morning has been my motivation throughout the week. I get up, I workout, get ready, and walk to my local coffee shop to get my go to ice vanilla almond milk latte. This not only the perfect start to my morning but its the perfect treat for a Friday in spring. I'm also not getting rid of this in summer, she will stay with me throughout my Friday routine.
